The Lumberjanes have come across all kinds of magical, mythical, and
ordinary creatures on their adventures at camp. Get to know some of
these fantastic creatures through the Lumberjanes Beastiary Card
Game.
Objective: Get the most matches and don’t get left
with the Bearwoman Card at the end.
Materials: 60 playing cards (4 each of 14 creature cards, 1 Bearwoman
Card, 1 Rosie Trade Off Card, 1 Bubbles Steal Card, and 1 Wild Card)
How to Play:
 Select a dealer. The dealer shuffles the cards and deals 5 cards to
each player. Place the remaining cards face down in a stack in the
middle of the group.
 Players can put down any matches they receive on the table in
front of them, face up. Two cards make a match. If you have three
matching cards, only put two of them down on the table.
 During their turn, each player will either: pull a card from the deck or
ask any other player if they have a specific card.
• If that player has the requested card, they must give it to the
player who asked for it.
• If they do not have the matching card, they do not have to
give the player anything.

4. If the original player does not receive a card after asking for one,
they can pull a new card from the deck. If the new card (received
from a player or the deck) results in a match for the player, they can
put this match down until the next player’s turn begins. If there are
no more cards in the deck, then the player’s turn ends without them
receiving a new card.
 Repeat with the next players’ turn until all cards have been paired or
played except one—the Bearwoman Card.
 The player with the Bearwoman Card loses the game. The remaining
players count up their matches, and the player with the most
matches wins.
Rules:
Special Cards:
• Bubbles Sneak Card—Take any one card from any other
player’s hand.
• Wild Card—Use this as a match for ANY card. The remaining
card in this set is removed from play. (For example: there are
4 yeti cards in a deck. If 2 yeti cards make one match, and a
3rd yeti card is paired with a wild card, whoever has or draws
the 4th yeti card can discard it from game play. The player
with the 4th yeti card cannot draw a new card from the
deck — they just have one less card in their hand.)
• Rosie Trade Off Card - All players switch hands with the
person to their left. Keep any matches you already made.
