1. When taking a shortcut, you must move straight across the line you land
on unless the end of move lands you on the center red circle. If you
land on the center circle, you may be able to take another shortcut, by
changing the direction your pieces are moving.
Ways to get around the game board:
Rules:
· If you land on a circle with another player’s piece on it, they must go
back to the beginning.
· You can have as many pieces on the board at a time as you like.
· You can add a new game piece to the board at anytime. Any
throw can be used to start moving a new piece or to
continue moving a piece already on the board.
· You do not need an exact number of moves to pass home and win.
If you are two spaces away from the home space, your token can
exit the board with a throw of 2, 3, 4, or 5.

Objective
Be the first player to return all their pieces to the home space.
Players
2+
2. Materials:
· Game board
· 4 Yut Sticks
(popsicle sticks included, traditionally curved wooden sticks)
· Playing Pieces. 1-4 pieces per player. Each player should have
the same number of pieces. Players often use small items like
buttons, shells, or coins. (not included)
How to Play:
All playing pieces start at the home space. When a player adds a
piece to the game, pieces enter the game board on the circles to the
right of the home space. Players move their pieces on the circular
spaces around the game board in an effort to return their pieces to the
home space the fastest.
To move, players alternate tossing the Yut sticks.
The number of spaces you move depends on which side of the sticks
land face up:
If the end of a move lands your playing piece on a red corner circle, the
next time you toss the Yut sticks, you can take a shortcut across the
diagonal lines that form an “x” crossing the center of the board.
For example: when starting from home, if you throw four striped sticks
and move a playing piece five spaces, on your next throw, that piece
could move onto the diagonal line in the center of the board. If, when
starting from home, you throw four dotted sticks (move a playing piece
four spaces) and on your next turn throw two dotted sticks and two
striped sticks (and move the same playing piece two more spaces), you
could not enter the middle of the board and would continue around
the edges (until the end of a move lands you on a different red circle).
