This document evaluates three options for improving transportation access to two safety net clinics and one laboratory in Alachua County, Florida: extending bus routes, creating a volunteer driver program, and using demand response services. It finds that extending bus routes is only feasible for one clinic in the future. Creating a volunteer driver program is possible but would require clinics to commit resources to coordination and administration. Using existing demand response services could provide transportation for some patients, though information on patient access should be collected. The document makes recommendations to follow bus route progress, suggest a volunteer program, and inform patients about demand services.
