The Plains by Luke Nelson My region is from Canada to Northern Mexico. The people who live there are Blackfeet , Shoshone and many more. The plains are flat lands,in summer dry and grassy and a lot of wild fires, winter very cold but the Indians are very clever.
The plains dwelling They lived in Hogans ,Teepee's Pueblos and chickee`s The Hogan (colored picture.) is made out of logs and a grass roof. The chickee (not colored picture)is made out logs and grass.
The plains plants They used flowers for medicine. And long pole pines for tepee frames and canoe frames. And they dried berries like blueberries.
The plains animals The buffalo was there main food. They used the buffalo's bones for tools and weapons.
The plains clothes They wore buffalo skins for clothes. They also wore bone beads, with deer hide strings.
The plains today Today the plains Indians are still alive in Indian reservation. An Indian reservation is a place that is protected by the government and they live there.
