He authored over 280 hymns and his most famous was "Amazing Grace", reflecting on how God's amazing grace transformed him from a "wretch" to a man of faith. Like the fig tree given another chance to bear fruit, all people are receivers of God's unbounding grace and love.

Kazimierz Odnowiciel founded Pobiedziska after having a dream where God told him to attack Masław's camp at night. Kazimierz and his men surprised Masław's warriors, who were sleeping heavily after drinking and partying. Though there was fighting on both sides, Kazimierz's men gained victory as Masław's warriors fled in panic, some igniting fires in their escape. In gratitude for this victory at Kociałkowa Górka, Kazimierz named the settlement "Pobieda", which means "victory" in Russian.

A family went sailing one afternoon in the summer but got caught in a strong wind and rain far from the beach. They were unable to sail back against the strong wind. The father called for help and the Red Cross came to rescue the family. The narrator cried with relief when they saw the rescuers coming to save them.

Simon Peter was a fisherman who Jesus called to follow him.
