As of 2015, I retired from the Local level as a Law Enforcement Supervisor with the Macon/Bibb County
Sheriff Office in Macon, Georgia. I have worked in various capacities from the Command Staff as the
Public Information Officer to Department Liaison for Antiterrorism Task Force, Director and Assistant
Director of various departments, as well as the lead and member of special teams and initiatives. The State,

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE - MILITARY
LIEUTENANT COLONEL, MEDICAL SERVICE CORPS
UNITED STATES ARMY, Charlotte, North Carolina
Medical Operations/Personnel, 2010-2011
Senior Medical Operations Officer and advisor to the Commander on current military operations and
training for wartime missions. Designated as the Personnel Officer for this BTN Size Headquarters
Hospital Unit and responsible for tracking personnel and readiness requirements for three subordinate
commands. Supervise 6 Personnel, Military and Civilian. Coordinate with other Staff Officers and Higher
HQ Commands and Mentor Junior Officers and Enlisted Soldiers.
Selected Achievements and Contributions:
• In 3 months after assignment took the Battalion from number 6 of 6 to 1 of 6 within the Brigade
(BDE) for personnel actions.
• Re-directed the Operations Section in planning to afford the BN Soldiers to do section specific
training to allow all assigned soldiers to train in their specialties during Weekend Training Events.
• Improved the Coordination and Communication between the BN and BDE for increased
turnaround of pending actions.
UNITED STATES ARMY, Ballad, IRAQ
BN S4 Staff Logistics Officer, 2010
Logistics Staff Officer of a deployed Multifunctional Medical Battalion (MMB) consisting of over 300
service members organized in 5 subordinate commands [Direct Reporting Units (DRUs)]. Responsible for
providing the logistical and maintenance support to the DRUs located and organized predominately at six
major HUBs with elements at approximately 30 separate locations across the Iraqi Joint Operations Area
(IJOA).
Selected Achievements and Contributions:
• Supervised a logistics section of five enlisted Soldiers and Maintained %100 accountability for
6,300 lines of equipment, conducted 18 Site Assistance Visits. Assisted the Direct Reporting Units
in preparing the turn in of hundreds of items of Non Mission Essential and Theater Provided
Equipment (TPE) in excess of $8 Million dollars.
• During the Drawdown of Forces, advised and assisted the Force Health Protection section with a
Brigade initiative to build needed Forward Surgical Team sets as a contingency, and tracked all
medical equipment throughout entire IJOA.
• Used civilian Law Enforcement experience to help provide and teach Prevention of Sexual Assault
Training and initiatives.
UNITED STATES ARMY, Fort Gillem, Georgia
Deputy Chief Medical Operations/Plans/Training, 2004-2010
Operations Officer for the Office of the Command Surgeon, First Army. Responsible for providing
technical advice to the Command Surgeon and First Army Staff on all matters pertaining to the overall
mobilization process for deploying medical units, medical personnel, and all units medical readiness,
within the Active, United States Army Reserve, and Army National Guard from across the United States
and its territories (over 200,000 Soldiers). Assist the Divisions within First Army in determining the
medical readiness, training requirements, and validation of units during the entire mobilization process.
Conduct coordination concerning mobilization issues with deployed medical headquarters (MACOM),
ARCENT, FORSCOM, USARC, and other MACOMs.
Selected Achievements and Contributions:
• Provided military medical insight in regards to all planning and operational issues faced by the
Hurricane Katrina Joint Task Force as well as ensuring daily medical situational awareness to the
Task Force commander and staff.
• Battle Captain to the First Army Task Force responsible for coordinating Hurricane Katrina relief
efforts, coordinating with a wide spectrum of agencies from local municipalities, state and federal
government, and non-government relief agencies as a part of the forward deployed Task Force
• Provided detailed insight and doctrinal expertise as the First Army's representative to a
Department of Defense team tasked to develop a comprehensive collective training plan for
personnel supporting detainee medical operations. The end result of this project resulted in an on-
line training program that is a requirement for all medical personnel deploying in support of
medical operations to Iraq and Afghanistan.
• Developed a collective training model for use in a pre-deployment training exercise for a Combat
Support Hospital that deployed in support of detainee operations in Iraq. The collective training
model became the foundation for medical training exercises conducted by First Army in support
of all deploying medical units in support of military operations worldwide.
UNITED STATES ARMY, Eagle Base, Bosnia, Herzegovina
Hospital Commander /Headquarters Company Commander Task Force Medical Eagle (SFOR14),
2003-2004
Hospital Commander/ Headquarters Company Commander of a deployed medical task force comprised of
8 subordinate units (128 Soldiers). Includes Level III Hospitalization responsible for providing Health
Service Support to all Task Force Eagle Soldiers in Multinational Brigade (North). Medical BOS’s include
ground and air evacuation, medical, surgical, dental, preventative medical, combat stress, and veterinary
services. Responsible for the combat readiness, training and quality of life of all Soldiers assigned to Task
Force Medical Eagle. Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safe keeping of 5.6 million of
tactical, automation, and medical equipment.
Selected Achievements and Contributions:
• Brought together 8 different sub-units, to form a single Medical Task Force.
• As the Hospital Commander, responsible for updating the Hospital Mass Casualty Standard
Operating Procedure and Brief Medical Updates during daily Brigade Staff Meetings
• Kept 100% accountability for $5.6 million of tactical, automation, and medical equipment,
sensitive items and controlled substances counts for Headquarters and two outlying sites on other
Post.
• Ensured all Soldiers received mandatory European and Military Licensing, winter safety
driving/tire chain, Soldier Time, and Officer Professional Development.
• Completed Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3)
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE - CIVILIAN
SERGEANT, LAW ENFORCEMENT SUPERVISOR
CITY OF MACON, MACON POLICE DEPARTMENT
Sergeant, Patrol Supervisor, 1988 – 2015 (Retired)
As a Senior Police Patrol Supervisor responsible for training, and developing peer and subordinate officers
in the techniques of being patrol officers, interacting with the community while providing service and law
enforcement protection. Responsibilities include knowing and enforcing State Law, Local Ordinances, and
being knowledgeable on Federal and Civil Law; developing and executing action plans in high crime areas;
organizational interaction with citizens through Neighborhood Watch, Citizens on Patrol, Civic
Organization meetings; providing full community patrol service through coordination with other City
Departments for assistance in keeping neighborhoods clean and enforcing City Codes and Ordinances.
Selected Achievements and Contributions:
• Appointed City Director of Macon Bibb County Animal Control Division, to bring the unit into
compliance fiscally and in compliance with State Laws, and City Ordinances, providing for the
welfare of all animals within the City of Macon and Bibb County.
• Public Information Officer for 3 Chiefs and 1 Interim Chief of Police as Spokesman for the police
department, and assigned to the Command Staff responsible for all media relationships promoting
the departments image.
• Liaison for the Anti- Terrorism Task Force’s Public Affairs Team, the Mayor’s office, the media,
and other law enforcement agencies during the United States heightened alerts, facing the
possibility of Foreign or Domestic Terroristic Attacks.
• Lead for the Chief of Police initiative, The PRIDE Team, responsible for handling special
projects, a police department newsletter, and the revitalization of an awards process for the
department increasing morale.
• Academic - Supervisor in the Community Services Division, instructor of the Drug Abuse
Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program, and write Prevention Curriculum for community
groups as well as Summer Camps for the county school system.

Includes Level III Hospitalization responsible for providing Health Service Support to all Task Force Eagle Soldiers in Multinational Brigade (North). Medical BOS’s include ground and air evacuation, medical, surgical, dental, preventative medical, combat stress, and veterinary services. Responsible for the combat readiness, training and quality of life of all Soldiers assigned to Task Force Medical Eagle. Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safe keeping of 5.6 million of tactical, automation, and medical equipment. Selected Achievements and Contributions: • Brought together 8 different sub-units, to form a single Medical Task Force. • As the Hospital Commander, responsible for updating the Hospital Mass Casualty Standard Operating Procedure and Brief Medical Updates during daily Brigade Staff Meetings • Kept 100% accountability for $5.6 million of tactical, automation, and medical equipment, sensitive items and controlled substances counts for Headquarters and two outlying sites on other Post.
  • 4. • Ensured all Soldiers received mandatory European and Military Licensing, winter safety driving/tire chain, Soldier Time, and Officer Professional Development. • Completed Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3) PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE - CIVILIAN SERGEANT, LAW ENFORCEMENT SUPERVISOR CITY OF MACON, MACON POLICE DEPARTMENT Sergeant, Patrol Supervisor, 1988 – 2015 (Retired) As a Senior Police Patrol Supervisor responsible for training, and developing peer and subordinate officers in the techniques of being patrol officers, interacting with the community while providing service and law enforcement protection. Responsibilities include knowing and enforcing State Law, Local Ordinances, and being knowledgeable on Federal and Civil Law; developing and executing action plans in high crime areas; organizational interaction with citizens through Neighborhood Watch, Citizens on Patrol, Civic Organization meetings; providing full community patrol service through coordination with other City Departments for assistance in keeping neighborhoods clean and enforcing City Codes and Ordinances. Selected Achievements and Contributions: • Appointed City Director of Macon Bibb County Animal Control Division, to bring the unit into compliance fiscally and in compliance with State Laws, and City Ordinances, providing for the welfare of all animals within the City of Macon and Bibb County. • Public Information Officer for 3 Chiefs and 1 Interim Chief of Police as Spokesman for the police department, and assigned to the Command Staff responsible for all media relationships promoting the departments image. • Liaison for the Anti- Terrorism Task Force’s Public Affairs Team, the Mayor’s office, the media, and other law enforcement agencies during the United States heightened alerts, facing the possibility of Foreign or Domestic Terroristic Attacks. • Lead for the Chief of Police initiative, The PRIDE Team, responsible for handling special projects, a police department newsletter, and the revitalization of an awards process for the department increasing morale. • Academic - Supervisor in the Community Services Division, instructor of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.)
