Summary:
In this two minute opening of Long, Stock and two smoking barrels, the
main character is quickly revealed. With constant talking of him selling
stolen goods on a street corner, the theme of crime has been instantly
introduced. There is a sepia effect edited on the video and use of slow
motion and sound bridge as it cuts between the scene and images of titles.
It tells us who the producers, directors and production company is. I
would like to use slow motion and voice over to describe characters in my
film as I believe it is a very good use of time. The clip does have action
as the criminal gets chased and throws his suitcase into mid-air. I really
wanted to watch the end of the film as it was a very tense atmosphere. I
aim to create the same effect with my opening.
