This document provides recommendations for using high contrast colors and textures to help those with low vision more easily navigate environments and use common household objects. It suggests placing high contrast rugs under furniture, at the bottom of staircases, and using contrasting shelf liners, bump dots on appliances, and contrasting dishware to make items more visually distinguishable. A large button telephone is also recommended for landlines.
