Live Search from Adobe Commerce provides a SaaS-based product search platform for storefronts that is integrated with Product Recommendations. It can be used for both Commerce Cloud and Magento Open Source stores. The onboarding process involves installing the Live Search package, configuring API credentials, indexing the catalog, and disabling the existing Elasticsearch modules. Live Search Onboarding
Onboarding has a lot going on in the background, but can be broken down to just a few user facing
steps:
1. Install the Live Search metapackage
2. Configure your API credentials
3. Index products from your Magento catalog to our SaaS infrastructure
▪ Magento indexers will prepare catalog data to be synced and with the next cron cycle data will
be exported to backend
▪ On the backend indexation happens to create an index in ElasticSearch
4. Disable ES modules
▪ No need to host your own ElasticSearch service

Search popover
▪ React app makes calls directly to Search SaaS
▪ Faster response times since it does not get routed through Magento

Magento's ES modules
