Little Italy/University Village is a neighborhood on Chicago's Near West Side that is home to a population of around 18,000 people with a median age in the late 20s. It has historically been inhabited by Greeks, Jews, and Italians, including the territory of the Genna crime family. The area is now known for its Our Lady of Pompeii Church, University of Illinois at Chicago, National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, and proximity to the Illinois Medical District. During a visit, the group ate at a restaurant, walked around UIC, and were surprised to find many parks and green areas in contrast to downtown Chicago, concluding that they all wanted to return to the neighborhood.
