Introduction
• IKEA IS A WORLD RENOWNED COMPANY
OF READY TO ASSEMBLE FURNITURE,
KITCHEN APPLIANCES AND HOME
TEXTILES. IT IS BASED OUT OF
AGUNNARYD, SWEDEN.
• IT WAS INITIALLY STARTED BY INGVAR
KAMPRAD, FOUNDER OF IKEA IN 1943
WHICH IS ALSO THE FULL FORM OF THE
ACRONYM OF IK IN IKEA.
The world's most loved home and affordable Home
Furnishing Store. Located in Turbhe, Navi Mumbai.
The Navi Mumbai store will provide more than 6,000 jobs, of
which 50% will be women, as per reports. 4) The new store
is Ikea's first big format store in Maharashtra, spanning over
5.3 lakh sq ft and situated near the Turbhe local railway
station and stocks over 7,000 home furnishing products.
IKEA is known for its modern Scandinavian design
aesthetic, which typically includes clean lines, minimalist
furniture, and a focus on functionality and affordability.
Interior of the store
• The interior of an IKEA store usually consists of various
sections displaying different room setups, such as living
rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms, showcasing
their furniture, home accessories, and decor items.
• They also often have sections for children's furniture and
accessories.
• In addition to the display areas, IKEA stores typically include
a marketplace where smaller items like kitchenware, textiles,
and decorations are displayed for easy browsing and
purchase.

• Car park (undercover, open air or both).
• Smaland Children's Corner which provides 1 hour of
supervised play while you shop.
• IKEA Family kiosks where you can create an account
before you shop (located near the entrance).
• Food amenities including the IKEA Restaurant (located
after the showroom), Cafe (near the IKEA Restaurant)
and Bistro (located after the checkouts).
• Showroom which showcases our furniture within room
displays for you to browse:
• Living room, Living room storage, Workspaces, Kitchen,
Dining, Bedroom and Children's.
• Market hall for you to pick up any products from the
following areas:
• Tableware, Cookware, Textiles, Bed textiles, Rugs,
Bathroom accessories, Home organisation, Lighting and
Decoration.

• Self serve area for you to pick up any flat pack furniture items you
would like to purchase (trolleys are located here too). Here you
can order goods that aren't available for pick up in the Self serve
area by speaking with a co-worker.
• As-is department to browse second hand products, recently
discontinued products and product parts, all at an even more
affordable price.
• Checkouts, including Self-service checkout.
• Home Delivery counter for you to purchase delivery if you can't
take your goods home.
• Merchandise Pick-Up counter to pick up any goods that you have
reserved to collect with a co-worker. Here is also where you can
pick up Click and Collect orders.
• Exchanges and Returns counter where you can return products
for a refund, to return faulty goods or bring back a use IKEA
product through our furniture Buy-back.
• Recycling services for cardboard and batteries.
