The document discusses Listeria found in mangoes and proposes washing mangoes with a solution of alcohol and Quaternary Ammonium to kill 99.9% of Listeria. It suggests governments could help fund washing equipment and chemicals for farmers in developing countries that export mangoes. Additionally, it notes a past Listeria outbreak linked to cantaloupes that caused 29 deaths in the United States in 2011.
College Mentors for Kids is a new student organization at the University of Dayton that pairs undergraduate mentors with elementary school students from Dayton Public Schools. The purpose is to inspire the children's interest in higher education and teach them about college life. There are currently 25 mentors working with 25 third and fourth grade boys from Dayton Boys Prep Academy through weekly activities focused on higher education, community service, and cultural diversity. The club's future goals include expanding their program and adding a local girls' school.
Hayley is 16 years old. Her favorite colors are blue, green, and purple. She included a picture of a panda among her favorite things. Her best friend is not listed. The document provides citations for images on Flickr and a picture of Hayley taken on December 15, 2011.
The document provides six ambiguous rules of photography. It mentions utilizing the rule of thirds on adventures and capturing balance well in photos. It also advises to never give up and that luck will come. Framing shots and remembering lines are the final tips provided in the brief and confusing list of suggestions.
This document discusses integrating knowledge management and collaborative learning through technical communication processes. It presents a study that created a system called KOLUMBUS to combine the strengths of knowledge management systems and CSCL systems. KOLUMBUS allows users to collect and distribute content, work jointly on creating and editing texts, and provide feedback through annotations. It also enables groups to jointly author items. The study found that KOLUMBUS improved awareness of others' activities and knowledge, and coordinated contributions in a way that supported learning communities.

Listeria is a bacterial genus that can cause listeriosis, a serious but rare disease in humans. The most common symptoms of listeriosis are fever, muscle aches, and vomiting. It usually infects pregnant women, newborns, adults with weakened immune systems, and the elderly. Listeria can be found in soil and animals and can infect fruits, uncooked meats, vegetables, and milk.

This guideline is directed principally toward new Molecular Entities that are
likely to have significant use in the elderly, either because the disease intended
to be treated is characteristically a disease of aging ( e.g., Alzheimer's disease) or
because the population to be treated is known to include substantial numbers of
geriatric patients (e.g., hypertension).
5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT or Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that serves a range of roles in the human body. It is sometimes referred to as the happy chemical since it promotes overall well-being and happiness.
It is mostly found in the brain, intestines, and blood platelets.
5-HT is utilised to transport messages between nerve cells, is known to be involved in smooth muscle contraction, and adds to overall well-being and pleasure, among other benefits. 5-HT regulates the body's sleep-wake cycles and internal clock by acting as a precursor to melatonin.
It is hypothesised to regulate hunger, emotions, motor, cognitive, and autonomic processes.
PGx Analysis in VarSeq: A User’s PerspectiveGolden Helix
Since our release of the PGx capabilities in VarSeq, we’ve had a few months to gather some insights from various use cases. Some users approach PGx workflows by means of array genotyping or what seems to be a growing trend of adding the star allele calling to the existing NGS pipeline for whole genome data. Luckily, both approaches are supported with the VarSeq software platform. The genotyping method being used will also dictate what the scope of the tertiary analysis will be. For example, are your PGx reports a standalone pipeline or would your lab’s goal be to handle a dual-purpose workflow and report on PGx + Diagnostic findings.
The purpose of this webcast is to:
Discuss and demonstrate the approaches with array and NGS genotyping methods for star allele calling to prep for downstream analysis.
Following genotyping, explore alternative tertiary workflow concepts in VarSeq to handle PGx reporting.
Moreover, we will include insights users will need to consider when validating their PGx workflow for all possible star alleles and options you have for automating your PGx analysis for large number of samples. Please join us for a session dedicated to the application of star allele genotyping and subsequent PGx workflows in our VarSeq software.

Are you looking for a long-lasting solution to your missing tooth?
Dental implants are the most common type of method for replacing the missing tooth. Unlike dentures or bridges, implants are surgically placed in the jawbone. In layman’s terms, a dental implant is similar to the natural root of the tooth. It offers a stable foundation for the artificial tooth giving it the look, feel, and function similar to the natural tooth.
2. What is Listeria and what can it
do to humans?
Listeria is a bacterial genus. It can cause a serious but
rare disease in humans called listeriosis. The most
common symptoms are fever, muscle aches, and
vomiting. It usually infects pregnant women,
newborns, adults with weakened immune systems,
and the elderly. Listeria can be found in soil, so it
can infect vegetables. Animals can carry Listeria. It
can be found in fruits, uncooked meat, and milk.
3. So, how are you going to solve
this?
Well, we found that a mix of two
chemicals can kill Listeria. One is
alcohol, and another is Quaternary
Ammonium. Creating a wash or rinse
of these chemicals will have a 99.9%
chance of killing all the Listeria. Also,
once consumers buy the product,
keeping in under forty degrees can
prevent further growth of bacteria
4. Has an event like this
happened?
Yes. In early September, 2011, this was a
Listeria outbreak in cantaloupes. As of
November 3, 2011, twenty nine people
have been confirmed dead in
outbreaks with cantaloupes from
Jensen Farms in Colorado.
5. Thanks!
