As Vice President of Curriculum Development I lead a cross functional team delivering solutions to all National
Training Network’s ( NTN’s) partners, improving student achievement from curriculum mapping through
school implementation of a standards based curriculum. I oversee the development and quality control of all
NTN products, direct the curriculum development team, coordinate development of customized solutions to
meet the unique challenges and academic goals of school partners, and collaborate with
districts/schools/teachers to effectively integrate curriculum development goals into a standards based
curriculum. I promote and expand the company’s mission of improving teaching and learning by transforming
traditional classrooms into engaging learning environments.
I have coauthored a variety of texts including: Algebraic Thinking (AT), 8 grade levels of The Key Elements to
Mathematics Success (KEMS) and The Key Elements to Algebra Success (KEAS).
I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from the State University of New
York at Cortland and a Masters of Education in Middle and Secondary Mathematics from the University of
North Carolina, Charlotte.
I began my teaching career in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District in an equity plus middle school. I
taught 7th and 8th grade mathematics and Algebra 1 classes. My experiences included special education
inclusion classes. In addition to my instructional duties, I served as grade level leader, team leader, math
facilitator, curriculum writer, mentor, and coach.

National Training Network (NTN) Vice President of Curriculum Development

Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain budgets for the executive team
Oversee the logistics and quality control of the warehouse
Provide curriculum development input as part of the Implementation Team for districts and
schools
Train middle and high school teachers of mathematics
Design and present informational sessions for principals and other district personnel
Develop strategies to fulfill the vision of NTN which include:
o expanding and broadening areas of service to schools/districts and teachers
o working collaboratively with other educational organizations and universities

Design and implementation of a standards based curriculum
Design of mathematical materials that are research based and support the diverse learning styles of
students
Oversight and management of the start-to-finish process of providing materials in the form of
lessons, reviews, yearly planning curriculum maps and daily lesson plan Modules.
Creation and development of online applications supporting NTN including online lesson notes,
homework, and video clips of lessons
Management of all printing and typesetting projects
Data analysis of school district data
Management of writers, editors, website and warehouse personnel
