It also synergizes with eduroam single sign-on and acts as a federation operator. - Edugate allows institutions to provide single sign-on for users to access library and other academic resources through a common identity. It is based on international standards and can integrate a wide range of services. - Edugate uses SAML to authenticate users at their home institution and then authorize access to resources, with attributes determining access levels and personalization. This reduces passwords and improves access control and experience.
