10 Things LinkedIn Must Improve To Remain Relevant In B2B Social MarketingZINFI Technologies, Inc.
When it comes to business-to-business (B2B) social network, LinkedIn is the gorilla, and has certainly started to act like one. Why do I say that? Well, it’s based on a lack of innovation. The stock price is down, and the analysts are no longer sure – the future is not as clear as it used to be. Believe it or not, LinkedIn has been around for well over a decade now. It is older than YouTube. In the beginning, it was an incredible tool for upgrading your static Rolodex into a dynamic database of personal contacts, but then it morphed into an online resume, networking tool and much more.

SHOULD I INCORPORATE?
The process to incorporate is fairly straightforward. The main steps are: acquiring appropriate incorporation forms from the state of you’re choosing, assembling required documents like corporate bylaws that limit investor liability and submitting forms, documents and required fees. Although the steps are straightforward, business owners seeking to incorporate may seek the assistance of an attorney.
Applying for incorporate the business
The cheapest way to incorporate your business is by submitting the “Incorporation” forms to your state government in person, by mail, or online. Processing prices vary by state but you can generally complete incorporation for Rs.2500 to Rs.5000.
As an entrepreneur, you know that incorporating your business can be a wise move to minimize your liability, protect your personal assets, and even provide tax savings in some cases. However, navigating the various logistical and legal requirements isn’t always easy particularly when you don’t want to spend countless hours buried deep in legal fine print.
Legal process for business
Once the decision to incorporate your business has been made, the legal process begins with the preparation of a certificate of incorporation. Whereas in the past this was prepared by three or more legally qualified individuals, today only a single incorporator is needed. The incorporator may or may not be a person who will own stock. The state is likely to have a standard form for incorporating a small business. The three typical pieces of information requested are: corporate name, purpose, and corporate life span.
The corporate name is usually required to be a business name dissimilar from any other firm incorporated within the state. In addition, the name must not be deceptive or misleading. The state charter office can tell you whether the name you want is available. The purpose of the business must be stated. It is a good practice to use a specific object clause that spells out the specific purpose for which the corporation is being formed. While most corporations are formed for an indefinite period, it is possible to set up a specific limited life.
DO I NEED A LIECENCE TO OPERATE MY BUSINESS?
That depends on what type of business you own. Many businesses do not need any special licenses or permits in order to operate their businesses. However, some businesses that engage in certain trades or professions may need special licenses. For example, certain professionals such as doctors, lawyers, teachers and accountants need special licenses, issued by appropriate state agencies, in order to engage in the practice of their profession.
A business license registers your business as an individual entity separate from you, which provides important legal benefits. Registering a new business usually takes little more than a mailing address and a business name, although requirements can be significantly more complex for certain business types.
Business licensing requirements and issuance are handled at the state level. Laws in each state differ slightly as to what you need and what process to follow to license a new business. If you maintain a business presence in multiple states, you need to apply for a business license in each state. However, just having customers in other states does not mean you need to register in other states.
License type
A business license is usually tied to the type of business you are forming. Options include a sole proprietorship, a limited liability company, a limited liability partnership, a C-corporation and an S-corporation. Specific types of businesses require additional business licenses beyond the one required to form the company. For example, a shop owner may need a contractor's license and a trade marketing special products which he is producing may need a business license from the department of health. These requirements are also set by each state.
Applying for a Business
The basic form to apply for a business license usually requires a business name and the name of at least one owner. If you do not live in the same state where you are forming the business, you will typically need a registered agent. A registered agent is a resident of the state designated to receive official correspondence on behalf of the business, such as tax forms or legal paperwork.
CALLING PEOPLE OF FAITH WHO LOVE BUSINESS
When most people think of faith-based jobs, their first thoughts are of religious leaders like priests, pastors, rabbis, and imams.
Faith based Business
But today there are many more options for those who wish to work for a church or other faith-based employer - or to help others. There are many reasons people choose a faith-based business. First, most feel that God is calling or leading them to help others through a church, synagogue, mosque, or other ministry. Others may feel the desire to help people who are struggling emotionally, physically, or financially. There are many faith-based organizations that provide assistance to people with these needs, and they hire all kinds of people to meet them. Some people may simply be tired of working for a company that does not seem to care about its employees, customers, or ethics, and is looking for a faith-based company that does. All of these are very good reasons to explore the possibility of exploring religious business opportunities.
Opening website for faith related jobs
Religious Business will look at the many different jobs and career paths that are available to people today: what they are, what they do, what the outlook for these jobs are, as well as what education, knowledge, and skills they require. We will also look at possible career paths and average salary information for each position.
Different faith business
However, the three faiths that are practiced by the largest number of people are the Christian faith, the Judaic faith, and the Islamic faith. Not only is the Christian faith practiced by a large number of people, but it also has the largest number of church and faith-related jobs who love to do business in the country. There are less types of jobs available when it comes to the Judaic and Islamic faiths, for business who love to do it.

A value-centric LinkedIn Profile is a must if you want to make yourself an accessible resource for your future clients and business partners. Why do you want to do that?
According to the Corporate Executive Board statistics, 67% of a prospect's buying decision is made before they even reach out to a salesperson. Before talking to a vendor, especially in B2B, the prospect is very likely to look at your LinkedIn profile. And if it's missing the information they need to make a buying decision, you will have missed the opportunity to guide your buyers to your solution.
It's time to make your LinkedIn Profile more about your prospects and less about you. Follow our Value-centric LinkedIn Profile checklist to make this happen!

LinkedIn Whitepaper by Gregg Towsley From Grow PlumbingTowsley Associates
Since its inception, LinkedIn has grown to more than 55 million users in 200 countries world-wide. This is no accident. LinkedIn is based on the principal that every person is connected by no more than six degrees of separation from everybody else. In other words, an individual can connect to any other individual simply by utilizing their network of contacts. And this is where LinkedIn can help business owners and their employees. The website keeps track of who knows who and provides a means to connect people based on professional expertise, needs, and interests.
There are two kinds of contacts every person has – strong and weak. “Strong” contacts are family members, friends, and close business associates; “weak” contacts are those people we work with, and have done business with, but may not know very well. It is upon the “strong” contacts that most people go to when they need something, and it is from “strong” contacts that, at least initially, a LinkedIn network is built.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2. Introduction
LinkedIn™ is the world's largest professional networking platform.
It's also one of the most influential social media networks, with more
than 575 million members in 2018. That's a lot of potential contacts!
Members use the site to keep in touch with business associates,
clients, and co-workers. But it can do so much more – boost your
profile, build awareness of your brand, and help you to recruit the right
people,

3. 1. Complete Your LinkedIn Profile
● Add a good-quality photo of yourself, preferably one taken by a professional
photographer. Look smart, smile, and don't have any distractions in shot.
● Include a concise summary of who you are, what you do, and what you have
to offer. You have 2,000 characters to play with, but you don't have to use
them all. You can also link to, or upload, six examples of your work to make
your profile sparkle.

4. ● Add your current position and describe what it involves. Be specific. Don't say, for
example, that you're a "great communicator" – even if you are one! Instead, give
details of your communication skills , and examples of how you've used them.
Again, you have 2,000 characters.
● Add your previous work history, education details, and at least four skills or areas
of expertise.

5. 2. Contact and Connect With Other LinkedIn Users
LinkedIn enables you to network with people and professional organizations in
your industry. This is a great way to stay up to date with the latest developments,
and to share information with others in your field.
You can invite anyone to connect (and accept their invitations to connect with
you), but they must have their own LinkedIn account to use the site.

6. LinkedIn saves the connections that you make to a list called My Network. When
you make a new connection, you gain access not only to that person's profile, but
to their publicly available connections, too. These become your "second-degree
connections." This opens up even more networking opportunities , as you can
then invite them to connect directly with you.
The number of connections that you have affects your search ranking on LinkedIn.
It's a good idea to aim for at least 50 "first-degree" connections.

7. 3. Give and Receive Recommendations and Endorsements
Your connections can write "recommendations" for your profile, and offer
"endorsements" of your skills, and you can do the same in return.
Recommendations are personal testimonials that emphasize your professional
abilities. Aim to collect a handful of these (between five and 10 is a good "rule of
thumb") by asking people you've worked with to write one for you.
Ask them to highlight the particular attributes or achievements that have impressed
them, rather than making general comments such as, "Bella was fun to work with."
Endorsements are a quick and easy way for your professional contacts to help show
other users where your expertise lies.

9. How to set up a LinkedIn Company Page
A Company Page helps LinkedIn members learn about your business, your brand,
and job opportunities with your company. Company Pages are also a great way to
establish industry expertise.
For example, Hootsuite’s LinkedIn page has more than 190,000 followers tuned in
to the valuable and timely content we share—and that’s not including the 1.3
million people that follow CEO Ryan Holmes’ thought leadership articles.

LinkedIn Page
● 2. Publish valuable content
● 4. Take advantage of LinkedIn Groups
11. LinkedIn Groups
First, social media as we know it is changing. There’s a significant shift from
simply broadcasting marketing messages to engaging fans. Instead of
building huge public pages, more and more businesses are opting for niche closed
communities.
This shift is also encouraged by changes on major social media platforms such as
Facebook, where meaningful content in groups is given priority over public
content.
