2. Situation 1

Fill
This is one of the iconic situations within
the short film I am making, this is where
the actor will be lying on the sofa when
they hear the knock at the door. For
lighting I have chosen a Key light where the
camera shall most likely be placed, a back
light around the side of the sofa to fill in
any atmospheric lighting should I need it.
For a fill light which is optional, I could use
a desk light which is on the cupboard next
to the sofa which will make the scene look
brighter and perhaps make the scene have
a more homely authentic look.

3. Situation 2
This is the second situation which is in my short
film, from what can be seen, the actor shall be
walking towards the door, because this is an
intense scene there shall only be two lights, the
back light will be shining the actor's back,
probably a blue-type of colour due to its
mysteriousness which the colour can give off. The
key light shall be on the actor's right side, this will
hopefully be casting a type of shadow when the
actor goes to reach for the door handle. Because
the film's horror is based off shadows and the
unknown hiding, this will hopefully build some
kind of visual tension.

4. Situation 3
Back
In this 3rd situation the actor will be facing the front
door to answer it, there shall be a scene however
where the door will be opened and the camera will
be showing the actor from the outside of the house,
as a practical standpoint I might experiment with a
back light in this situation, to give off some sort of
mysterious effect, or to make the actor stand out.
