presentation on life
1. The Seven Ages of Man
-William Shakespeare
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
2. The Seven Ages of Man
-William Shakespeare
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
3. The Seven Ages of
Man(…continued)
-William Shakespeare
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper'd pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side,
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
4. 1. INFANCY
The first role/age is that of an infant.
In this stage the man is a helpless baby and
knows little.
He cries and whines in the hands of his nurse
or his mother.
5. 2. WHINING SCHOOLBOY
In the second stage of life, man plays the role
of a little child.
He carries a small schoolbag with him and has
a shiny face, walking as slowly as possible
because of his dislike of school.
He is unwilling to leave the protected
environment of his home as he is still not
confident enough to exercise his own
discretion.
6. 3. THE LOVER
In the third stage of life, man plays the role of a
lover.
He falls in love passionately and sings a sad
ballad about love, praising the beauty of his lover’s
eyebrows.
In this stage he is always remorseful due to some
reason or other, especially the loss of love.
He tries to express his feelings through song or
7. 4.THE SOLDIER
In this stage he is full of strange oaths,
bearded, and strives for honour, recognition
and reputation, even faced with a cannon.
It is in this age that he thinks less of himself
and begins to think more of others.
He is always working towards making a
reputation for himself and gaining recognition,
however short-lived it may be, even at the cost
of his own life.
8. 5.THE JUSTICE
In this stage he has acquired wisdom through
the many experiences he has had in life.
He is full of wise sayings. He uses his
experience, wisdom and knowledge in the
dispensation of justice.
He has reached a stage where he has gained
prosperity and social status.
9. 6. OLD AGE
In the sixth stage of life, man becomes weak
and fragile.
He begins to lose his charm — both physical
and mental.
He loses his firmness and assertiveness, and
shrinks in stature and personality.
10. 7.SECOND CHILDISHNESS
This stage is compared to second childhood.
He loses control over his senses and becomes
dependent on others just like a child.
He loses his status and he becomes a nonentity.
He is enveloped by forgetfulness and loses
his teeth, eyesight, hearing, etc. and then, he
passes away.
11. Sometimes as I think about life I get
frustrated that I have not done as much as I
need to still do…..
All we need is just the right motivation and so we
can say why not!
12. My philosophy on life……
Everyone
has their
own
philosophy
on life and
each
person’s is
unique to his
or her own
belief
system.
―It doesn’t matter where you are coming
from. All that matters is where you are
going.‖
The follow slides will show what I feel is
important in life.
Think Positive – Be
Glad…. Be
grateful…. and
spread positive
attitude…
13. Life can be SIMPLE…….
Basically,
Life is about
asking
yourself,
what do you
want out of
life?
Security
Inner Peace/Contentment
Satisfying Relationships
(not necessarily in this
order…..)
14. Security
Security means different things to all people.
One aspect is that it is a source of financial
income come so that I will have the ability to
care for my family in some capacity.
Another is knowing I have stable employment.
15. Inner Peace/Contentment
Always knowing and feeling a sense of inner
peace and contentment is a very important
aspect for me in my life. Therefore, feeling like
what I do in my life makes a big difference in
how I feel about myself.
This quality about myself allows me to interact
with others both professionally and personally
in a manner for which I feel is both appropriate
as well as imperative which results in a quality
person.
16. Satisfying Relationships
Having satisfying relationships in both your
personal life as well as your professional life
can make all the differences for how a person
feels about the quality of life.
Granted, I personally feel that there should be
a comparable balance between personal
relationships and professional relationship, if
not then there is not going to be equilibrium in
either aspects of life.
17. So now let me tell you some
tips to improve your life…..
1.
2.
3.
4.
Don't compare your life to others'. You have no
idea what their journey is all about.
Dream more while you are awake.
Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
Don't hate others.
Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the
present.
18. Tips to improve your life…..
5.
6.
7.
8.
You don't have to win every argument. Agree
to disagree.
Give something good to others every day. Try
to make at least one person smile each day.
However good or bad a situation is, it will
change.
Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or
joyful.
