A View From The Cross Through the Eyes of a MotherChris Gallagher
This lesson is a first in a series called "Five Views from the Cross."
Mary, being the mother of Jesus, stood at the foot of the cross watching her Son die, what thoughts were going through her mind?
Focusing on God’s presence reveals the purpose He has for your life. Many things can distract us from keeping our focus on Jesus, but He is the perfect example and teacher of unwavering focus.

God has given every believer the power to wage war against the devil and his agents. The big question is "do you know how to wage war against the enemy of your soul?"...
We are told to confess, but seldom talk about it. Our confession often reveals how we think of and deal with our sin before God. In this lesson we will learn from King Saul and King David’s confession of sin some things that we must not do and must do when we confess our sins.
Scripture: Exodus 1:1 thru 2:25
Central Truth: God provides deliverance for those who call on Him.
Golden Text: “It came to pass in the process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage” Exodus 2:23.
Context: In the land of Goshen in northeaster Egypt, God raises up a leader among the Hebrews; about 1520-1480 B.C.
This is a old powerpoint that I found on my laptop. The Gospel message is old yet ever new for those who personally believe it. For the young and the old. :)
Only the grace-tilled heart that is open to the Good News of Jesus Christ will produce a lasting harvest both in this life and for eternity.
The message was given on January 19, 2014 at New City Church in Calgary by Pastor John Ferguson. For more info, go to www.NewCityChurch.ca.

Good News bad News | A Sermon from Luke 4:16-30Steve Thomason
This sermon looks at the story of Jesus when he preached in his hometown synagogue. It started out as good news. He is the Messiah. Then things went bad and the people tried to kill him. What changed their minds?
This is a study of the silence of Jesus over and over when on trial and being asked questions. Silence has many values and these are looked at in this study.
In this lesson we define and study vanity. What vanity robs us of and did this sin have anything to do with the suffering of Jesus the Christ. Both audio and slides can be enjoyed together at www.cmcoc.org

Jars of Clay | 2 Corinthians 4 | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
The Apostle Paul reminds his friends in the church of Corinth in 2 Corinthians 4, that we hold this treasure of God's grace in jars of clay. No matter what our circumstances, we can persevere.
The Apostle Paul offers his friends in Corinth a description of God's love that offers hope for reconciliation to a divided group. This most excellent way found in 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 is what our world needs today.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
