The library has expanded its partnerships and services through a global libraries program that provided free internet access. This allowed the library to work with local schools, museums, publishers, and community groups to provide new digital services and activities like online correspondence, e-newsletters, scanning archives, and presentation of local history books. The library's new technology resources have strengthened its role in the community by supporting education, cultural preservation, and local economic development.
