Michael Molyneaux is highly recommended for any position. The author has known him for several years through clinical trials for a wound healing company. Molyneaux led two large studies effectively through all stages, from design to completion. He is intelligent, enthusiastic, and well-liked. Though the technology ultimately failed, this should not diminish the assessment of Molyneaux's excellent work. He would be a terrific asset for any organization due to his skills, ability to learn, and hardworking nature. The author would be thrilled to work with Molyneaux again.

RE: Michael Molyneaux, MD
To Whom It May Concern,
It is a distinct pleasure and easy task to write a letter of recommendation for Michael
Molyneaux, MD. By way of introduction, I am the Harvey Blank Professor and Chair of
the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami
Miller School of Medicine (UM). At UM, I direct a clinical and translational research
team and am director of the UM Hospital Wound Center. Our Department is among the
largest and most respected in the US and encompasses research, education and clinical
care. As part of this interest I have a special interest in understanding chronic wounds
including why and how they develop and what treatment may be helpful. As a result
over the past 25 years, I’ve work with many companies interested wound healing from
helping them with development plans, to trial design, to working with the FDA. I also
direct the largest wound care meeting in the US, the Symposium for Advanced Wound
Care (SAWC) and serve as Chair of Medical Advisory Board for Healogics which runs
over 740 wound centers in the US.
It is through this interest I got to know Michael Molyneaux, MD. He served as chief
medical officer of Macrocure, an Israeli based company with a cell-based therapy. I
worked closely with Mike, getting to know him as an investigator and consultant in the
company’s trial studying diabetic foot ulcers and working very close with him as
principal investigator for the company’s trial studying venous leg ulcers. This included
trial design, trial oversight and working with the FDA. These efforts spanned the past
several years.
Quite simply Mike is among the top people I’ve interacted with in the Wound Care and
Dermatology industries. Mike is bright, thoughtful, thorough, and organized as he led 2
large studies through the spectrum of trial activities, through site and investigator
recruitment, initiation, and completion. He dealt efficiently, effectively and elegantly
with all the issues that emerged through the process of carrying out a very detailed large
trial. As part of the process, he learned the wound care field, he learned about the
complexities and subtleties of wound care investigation and he developed a cadre of
contacts throughout the field. He was widely both respected and liked. He has a
reputation of being both intelligent and enthusiastic.
2. Unfortunately despite excellent trial design and execution the technology failed. This
should in no way subvert from my assessment of Mike. He is a winner!! I would be
thrilled to work with Mike any time the opportunity would arise. He has a great way with
people and I am certain he would be a terrific asset for any company whether in the
development phase or with product. His skills, which I outlined above, along with his
ability to learn and adapt to new environments, make him a ‘can’t miss’ candidate for any
top organization. Mike is tremendously hardworking, is ethical and on a personal note, s
a wonderful person, who truly enjoy being around.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can offer further insight.
Sincerely,
Robert S. Kirsner, M.D., PhD
