We are writingto youas A-Level MediaStudiesStudentsfromSt.Andrew’sCatholicSchool inregardstothe
permissiontouse some elementsof musicandlyricsfrom the song‘House of the RisingSun’ - Animals(1964) for
educational purposesonly.
As part of our A-Level MediaStudiescoursework, we are requiredtocreate andproduce a SoapOperaTrailer.The
whole songwill notbe usedasour trailercan onlybe 45 seconds -1 minute 30 seconds inlength.While we were
searchingforwhat specificmusicto have forour soapoperatrailer,we came across Animals’songof ‘Houseof the
Rising Sun’(1964) and believedthatthispiece of musicwouldenforceadramaticimpact tothe themeswe will
representinoursoapopera trailer;jealousy,deceit, conflict, crime andlove.MygroupandI shall be editingthe song
withthe software:Adobe PremiereCS6.The trailerwill be placedon Wordpress,aneducational blog,whichisused
so that the examiningboardcan assessourworkinteractively.The videowill alsobe made availableonYoutube but
