ReflectionsTeacher Gina placed the slides in a three ring binder with sheet
protectors, so the students can write the words in the writing center.
One student did the whole binder of writing the words.
The other students wanted to look at the pictures in the binder
during the afternoon reading time.

The students gets excited for the books that enhance learning opportunities for
synaptic growth because the first five years of life matter to a child

from diverse genres, Miss Gina is
investing in brain builders,
forming a solid foundation of
early literacy, and developing a
love of reading.

The Giving Tree
Miss Gina favorite book of all times
about giving all you have in life
without expecting anything in
return. The tree was happy.
Mrs. Utsey, the librarian from
Conder, read this book to Miss Gina
in Kindergarten.
Educates children on the use of a
tree for branches turn into
playground, apples turn into $$$,
trunk turn into canoe, and stump
turn into seat.

Diverse rendition of classical
Wheels on the Bus with a twist

I Love Trucks and cars and
planes and things that go
Takes students on an
educational journey of the real
photographs of all kinds of
trucks
Teaches the children rhymes
what kind of trucks are located
in areas like on the farm, in the
construction sites, or safety sites

First 100 Machines
Real images of machines
Monday
 Miss Gina borrowed The Twelve Days of Christmas
board book from the library for the students.
 Pre K listen to the cd while reading the book
igniting musical intelligence in the students lives.
 Elephants & Zebras classrooms read and sang the
book on 15 minute break.
 Brought Kool-Aid clay during centers. She placed
the letter T cookie cutter in the clay center. Did you
know that she actual baked cookies with her niece
on Friday and held a tea party in the house?
 Gina brings educational materials related to the
letter of the week.
 During center time, students said, “Yeah Miss Gina
brought new books!”
TuesdayMy students were asking the teachers in the Pre-K, “Miss Gina, do
you have the Twelve Days of Christmas book by chance today?”
During outdoor recess, I used my phone to read and singing the Pete
the Cat I love My White Shoes bringing 21st technology to the
educational experience.
I let the children listen to the Hawaii version of The Twelve Days of
Christmas with pictures for visual learners to bring cultural awareness
to the students’ lives that live in Hawaii.
WednesdayMiss Gina is going to bring the book today for class together with
Jingle Bells because of the song is on the cd
