It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Mr. Sabelo Mdlalose, an Intern
Analyst with whom I have worked for the past year at the Eclipse Delivery Centre- a Supply Chain
Management project operated by a renowned international consulting firm on behalf of its global
mining client.
Sabelo and I worked closely on a number of operational related tasks for the delivery centre under
the Strategic Sourcing division. Here, he learnt crucial elements of a 7 step sourcing methodology,
which included conducting market trend analyses, contracts management and systems oriented
exercises. Often, Sabelo had to work with large amounts of data, applying logical and critical thinking
skills to achieve a good standard of outputs.
Having supervised Sabelo, it is my opinion that his work displays both diligence and enthusiasm for
attaining quality. Sabelo produced deliverables that were usable to the team in times of great need.
Where Sabelo may not have understood concepts, he was never hesitant to ask the correct
questions, ensuring that his outputs were always received by the team on time.
Furthermore, Sabelo is also professional and personable, being able to relate with his peers and
contribute well to the overall culture of the team and delivery centre. In addition to the work given,
he has also taken a proactive approach to participate in other activities, such as presentation giving
and social committee events organising that occur within the centre.
