The document expresses skepticism about technology and a belief in people instead, asking if the reader is on LinkedIn and interested in connecting to discuss an unspecified issue that requires attention.
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE technology. I live, eat, breathe and sleep Apple, Google, Facebook and Foursquare. But the most important thing each of you, and every one of our clients needs to understand is that social media, mobile and digital are NOT about the tech.
They are about people. Just like radio is a constant friend to our listeners, social media is a constant murmuring stream of consciousness and content from REAL PEOPLE. It’s designed FOR people, BY people – wanting to make uniquely human interaction more public, more transparent, more entertaining and (hopefully) more meaningful.
It sounds like many of you have already been through LinkedIn training for business use, (where Sarah stole my big headline about Cardmunch!) but I just want to re-iterate how powerful a tool this can be. Just a brief overview of my Linked in page shows connections, projects, skills, CV, education (past and future via books I want to read), creative portfolio and most importantly, recommendations. Next week, I’ll show you guys how to amp up your client presentations with one of the most best sales lead tools I’ve ever come across – Slideshare.
All this preamble is great, but what can I actually offer you right now? It’s a personalised, localised, super charged digital media superhero fanboy sitting amongst you and ready to talk turkey.Right now, we are investigating a ton of new revenue streams like Facebooks ads with Michael Eva, monetising social media content with J-Mac and how to price up my social media strategy docs with your very own Georgia Boston.
If any of this gets you thinking ‘VBR’… Let’s talk. I’m available as of right this second for client meetings, presentations and brainstorms in the lift.
