Describe how to contribute to open source projects.
Provide example process using two hot open source project, linux and AOSP(Android Open Source Project)
Short introduction about vcs & git usage.
Aimed to introduce concept of version control system and git to people who didn't used git or vcs yet. Doesn't introduce deep part of git or operating policy for git. Just focus on simple introduction about main functionality and abstracted internal design.
Android is going to Go! Android and GolangAlmog Baku
I recently talked in Droidcon about building using Go with Android
We talked about what is Go? And why it's so awesome? And how can we use it with Android?
On this session we've learnt a little bit about Go, and how can we use it with Android- about the use cases, and the secret
tricks to use it with mobile applications.
Golang for PHP programmers: A practical introductionRichard Tuin
PHP and Golang complement each other in a great way. In this presentation you will first learn how Golang is different from PHP, then we will look at its use-cases with some examples, and finally we explore some important best practices. After this presentation you will know when Golang could be a suitable tool for the job.
Understanding Pseudo-Versions Moving to Go 1.13 What is in Go 1.14+ for ModulesMitali Bisht
Explaining pseudo-version, how restrictions have been enforced for pseudo-version in Go 1.13 along with go sumdb, resolving them , features in Go 1.14+ related to modules

How to Turn a Pile of Python Files Into an Open Source Project.
You have written some Python code, you think it would be useful to the world, and you would like to give back to the open source world. But where do you start? This talk will give you some guidance on how you can release your project
Golang and Domain Specific Languages - Lorenzo Fontana - Codemotion Rome 2017Codemotion
The world is full of Domain specific langauges, and they are here for a reason. Do you need to interact with a relational database? SQL! Do you need to exchange data in a human readable format? JSON! Any level of interaction between humans and computers needs a DSL and If you are writing a program you may need to implement a DSL at some point. Is that program is written in Go? This is the talk you where looking for! We are going to see how Golang enables you to write your own lexer and parser in order to craft a programming language or a DSL to deal with your particular needs.
Getting started with Go - Florin Patan - Codemotion Rome 2017Codemotion
This talk focuses on people which are interested the Go programming language and want to learn it. In it I will present the various resources new gophers have to learn Go, what are the usual pitfalls and how to get help when they are stuck.
Shift Remote: Mobile - Devops-ify your life with Github Actions - Nicola Cort...Shift Conference
What's the first thing you should do when starting a new project...? Setup a good CI system! With Github Actions you can do it in a couple of seconds. You can easily setup a workflow to build your project, test it on different machines, and deploy the results. In this talk we're going to see how you can setup a simple Github Action for your repository and start enjoying it right after.
GitGot: The Swiss Army Chainsaw of Git Repo ManagementJohn Anderson
GitGot is a Perl-based tool for batch management of collections of git repos. It has a number of interesting features and acts as a force multiplier when dealing with a large varied collection of repositories. My talk will cover why you would want to use GitGot as well as how to use it effectively.
Gitea is a painless self-hosted Git service. It is similar to GitHub, Bitbucket or Gitlab. The initial development have been done on Gogs but we have forked it and named it Gitea. If you want to read more about the reasons why we have done that please read this blog post.

Composer has triggered a renaissance in the PHP community, it has changed the way we deal with other people’s code and it has changed the way we share our code. We are all slowly moving to using Composer, from Wordpress to Joomla and Drupal and frameworks in between. But many of us mistreat composer, follow outdated practices or simply lack a few tricks. In this session i’ll get you the low down on how to use composer the right way.

Essentials of Automations: Optimizing FME Workflows with ParametersSafe Software
Are you looking to streamline your workflows and boost your projects’ efficiency? Do you find yourself searching for ways to add flexibility and control over your FME workflows? If so, you’re in the right place.
Join us for an insightful dive into the world of FME parameters, a critical element in optimizing workflow efficiency. This webinar marks the beginning of our three-part “Essentials of Automation” series. This first webinar is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to utilize parameters effectively: enhancing the flexibility, maintainability, and user control of your FME projects.
Here’s what you’ll gain:
- Essentials of FME Parameters: Understand the pivotal role of parameters, including Reader/Writer, Transformer, User, and FME Flow categories. Discover how they are the key to unlocking automation and optimization within your workflows.
- Practical Applications in FME Form: Delve into key user parameter types including choice, connections, and file URLs. Allow users to control how a workflow runs, making your workflows more reusable. Learn to import values and deliver the best user experience for your workflows while enhancing accuracy.
- Optimization Strategies in FME Flow: Explore the creation and strategic deployment of parameters in FME Flow, including the use of deployment and geometry parameters, to maximize workflow efficiency.
- Pro Tips for Success: Gain insights on parameterizing connections and leveraging new features like Conditional Visibility for clarity and simplicity.
We’ll wrap up with a glimpse into future webinars, followed by a Q&A session to address your specific questions surrounding this topic.
Don’t miss this opportunity to elevate your FME expertise and drive your projects to new heights of efficiency.

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

This is a note to let you know that I've
just added the patch titled
staging: csr: Remove struct CsrEvent
to my staging git tree which can be found at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging.git
in the staging-next branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will also be merged in the next major kernel release
during the merge window.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.
