The Goal

The goal was to provide students with a more personalized
lesson experience and improve retention at the same time.
What Lesson Sender Does
● Stores student data
● Saves the agenda,
vocabulary, phrases,
mistakes, and homework
to a database
● Generates and e-mails
lesson reviews to
students
What Students Get
Advantages
● Students can easily go back and review previously
covered material
● A full lesson history lets teachers know what was
covered and when
● Creates added value for every language teacher
● Database data storage creates endless possibilities
The Future
Lesson Sender was an experimental project. I used it to
practice my programming skills and wanted to automate the
generation of lesson reviews. It took about eight months for
me to complete while working full time.
The project has now been superseded by Lesson Manager,
which brings a myriad of new functions and possibilities
along with a new database schema and engine.
Final Notes
There are two ways to bring us all closer together.
1.
2.

We all have to learn and speak the same language. It would be wise to use
technology to support teachers and students
We have to improve translation technology and processes
Either way, it’s an exciting time, and I’d like to be a part of it.
Do you know anyone who’s hiring?
