 CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.A.3
Write numbers from
0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a
written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of
no objects).

Objectives
 Students
will be able to identify and write numbers 020, and represent a number of objects with a written
numeral (for numbers 0-20.)

Materials
 Teacher
will need a projector and laptop capable of
showing a slideshow, as well as the slideshow, a
whiteboard and markers(or blackboard and chalk)
and enough worksheets for all students.

Students will need iPads with “Learn Writing English
P1” apps.

Lesson Introduction
 Students
will be introduced to numbers 0-20 and
then use the “write numbers” part of the Learn
Writing English app to review numbers 1-20
independently on their iPads
 During
this time, students may ask the teacher for
any help they may need

Group Practice
 A slideshow
will be presented to the class.

Each slide will have different pictures with amounts
of items from 0-20.

Students will have to raise their hands to tell the
number of items on each slide.
 Every
picture will be followed by the correct answer
and before proceeding to the next slide the teacher
will ask the rest of the class if they agree with the
given answer.

Independent Work
 Students
will complete a 20 problem worksheet
where they must identify how many items are in
each picture and respond by writing the correct
number.

Assessments
 Worksheets
will be graded with each of the twenty
problems counting as five points.
