This lesson plan aims to teach students ages 16-17 listening and speaking skills using the immediate future tense (going to). The 35 students will watch a clip from the horror movie "The Village" in small groups and try to predict what will happen next using the immediate future tense. They will then write down three possible endings and compare them to the actual ending when they watch the rest of the scene. The entire activity will take 15 minutes with 3 minutes for introduction, 4 minutes to watch and discuss in groups, and 3 minutes to write and compare endings. Students will be assessed based on a short text they write describing the scene.

• In 1897, the small
