3. –The hypothesis has been suggested that lack
of readiness on the part on the learner might
actually be due to the lack of prior relevant
learning experience arising from the absence
of necessary prerequisite competencies or
maturation. The use of media or the various
avenues of instruction may help to accelerate
learning compared with the use of traditional
symbolic means, namely the use of language
symbols.

this is the content to be taught. The content
here is taken in a broad sense, meaning
knowledge, understanding, skills, and
attitudes.

6. Medium
It is the shape of the message, examples of
which are words, pictures, objects, two-
dimensional projected images, symbols, and
non verbal signs such as pantomime

7. Channel
It refers to the vehicles or the structure which
the medium is presented to the learners.

8. More subtle areas of concern
are the influences of such things
in media as:
Redundancy of information.
The effectiveness of labels and the
cueing devices.
The arrangement of items in graphics.

9. Precision phrasing in film commentary.
Types of introductions and summaries.
Details of size and shape or objects, and
The interrelationships of objects within
frames of filmstrip.
