Genre conventions are the key things needed in a 
certain type of genre.
MAIN TASK: Annotate this film poster to show 3-5 conventions of the 
horror genre that have been used 
Creepy old house

The shadows can signify supernatural 
beings or creatures 
The colour red represents 
blood and suggests 
violence and death

Tense facial expressions
