The self assessment modules are designed to help students test their understanding of course readings for each week. They consist of 3 multiple choice questions per topic, with feedback provided. If a question is answered incorrectly, students are directed to re-read that section. The modules include images, audio, video and other media to engage students. Student usage of the modules will be analyzed and a survey conducted to help improve them.

1. Information for students. Self Assessment Modules. The self assessment modules have been designed to assist you with the readings for this unit. They can be used as a diagnostic tool to assess your understanding of the unit material or as a precursor to the reading to assess your existing knowledge. We hope you find them engaging and that they are of benefit to your studies.

2. Purpose Each module covers the readings for one week or topic. The purpose is assess your understanding and requires you to answer three questions correctly. If you are directed to an incorrect question it is advised that you refer to your readings in order to obtain a correct answer and continue through the module.

3. The modules consist of six multiple choice or interactive activities. Each question has some form of rich media. This could be an image, audio, video, links to additional information or embedded slideshows. 4. Results An analysis will be carried out at the end of the unit to determine how often the modules were used and you will be asked to complete a survey that will assist with future development.
