Inpatient Cardiology Physician Assistant June 2015- Present
 Daily rounding on cardiology patient in the hospital setting. Coronary Critical Care, Intensive
Care, Neurology Intensive Care, Progressive care step down units and Rehabilitation floors.
 Patients’ diagnoses to include coronary artery disease, Acute MI, post-CABG, Valvular
abnormalities, stable and unstable angina, atrial fibrillation/arrhythmias, uncontrolled
hypertension, congestive heart failure, TAVR patients, post Left Atrial Appendage Closure with
Watchman device patients and more.
 Rounding to include diagnosing, physical exams and assessment. Daily notes written, labs ordered
and interpreted, EKGs interpreted, radiological imaging ordered and interpreted, medication
changes and patient/family counseling.
 Performed H&Ps on patients admitted from the emergency room, directly admitted from the
outpatient setting as well as transfers from outlying regional hospitals.
 Discharge patients from hospital, incorporating education as well as correct medication and
prescriptions written, routine follow up scheduled with their primary cardiologist, primary care
providers and other consulted specialties.
 Examine post cardiac catheterization patient, including viewing films and interventions, placing
patients on appropriate medications, stent education, radialand groin site access checks, arranging
cardiac rehab and discharge planning.
 Evaluate electrophysiology patientsto include post arrhythmia ablations, pacemaker and ICD
implants. Preformed wound checks, removed groin access sutures as well as counseling and
discharge planning
 Work closely with supervising physicians, cardiology mid-level providers, other consulted
specialties physicians and mid-levels, nursing staff, social workers, radiologists etc.

Primary Care/ED Referral Clinic- Physician Assistant August 2014- June 2015
 Caring for patients in the primary care setting.
 Managed already established patients of the Medical Group for their chronic conditions such as
diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disorders, gastrointestinal disorders and many
other conditions.
 Examined female patients for their yearly PAP smears as well as performing tests and pelvic exams
to diagnose various complaints.
 Treated patients for “sick visits”- bronchitis, URI’s, UTI’s, gastroenteritis, cellulitis, vertigo, aches
and pains as well as referring patients to the proper specialists for continuing care.
 Establishing new patients into the primary care setting with many with newly diagnosed medical
conditions from the Emergency Department.
 Performed followed up care for recent Emergency Department visits, re-testing, referrals and
medication management.
 Ordered and interpreted lab work such as CBC, CMP, Lipids, Thyroid Panels, Cholesterol Panels,
Infectious diseases labs, Rheumatologic labs, X-rays, Ultrasounds and more. Performed and
interpreted in house office tests including EKG’s, urinalysis, blood glucose, strep tests, flu tests,
etc.
 Attended to office paperwork including maintaining office data spreadsheets, referrals, prior
authorizations, medication refills, updating patients on lab work, answering patients’ questions and
concerns.
