Synopsis of Clinical Rotations in the FNP program
5. ● Precepted by Susan Long, CRNP at North Hills in Glenside, Montgomery County.
The patient population is mainly Korean. This was my first clinical rotation in
health assessment. Susan is a very dynamic family nurse practitioner. I was
able to participate in the care of a diversified group of patients, including
children, adolescents, middle-aged, and elderly individuals. We performed breast
cancer screenings with instruction on appropriate self-breast examination as well
as PAP screenings at her annual Women’s Night Out.
● Precepted by Erin Donahue, CRNP at the University of Pennsylvania Department
of Pediatric Urology. I observed the evaluation and assessment of children with
urologic congenital anomalies or acute genitourinary dysfunctions, such as
varicocele, hypospadias, chordee, and crptochidism.
● Precepted by Ann Pron, CRNP at Temple Health Connection. Provided care to
underserved children in the North Philadelphia community from infants to
adolescents. In addition, I participated in a summer pediatric rotation with Ann
Pron via Education Works, a federally funded outreach program for children
living in improved areas. We performed complete physical examinations of
children attending the summer day care program.
● Precepted by Donna Brian, CRNP at Temple Health Connection. Provided
reproductive care to young women in the North Philadelphia community which
included PAP smears, microscopic evaluation, and family planning.
● Precepted by Drs. Korman and Moore at Jeanes Internal Medicine Clinic.
Provided care to a range of adults from early adulthood to elderly individuals.
Most of the clientele are established patients and are followed with respect to
their comorbities and health prevention protocols. I am currently working solely
with Dr. Moore in my transition to practice rotation.
