About The Role:
This role involves working in an agile software development team across a mass of products such as
transactional web-sites and a high capacity, high availability, content management system that supports global
online activities. Combining strong technical analytical skills, domain and product knowledge with effective
planning, they will participate in the development of key backend business logic components of web
applications that drive online web properties.
 Be a Key part of the application Architectural Vision and Design
 Developing high quality code implementations through TDD, Good Design, and SOLID Principles
 Offer advice and mentoring the skills and knowledge of Software Engineers through in house training,
code reviews and Pair programming.
 To understand and talk effectively on any practices they are implementing such as TDD, BDD, DDD,
Pair Programming,
Required Skills:
 Skilled in PHP programming as well as XHTML / CSS2 / JavaScript / DHTML, XML / XSLT /
XSD
 Deep level of experience of developing applications with the LAMP platform (PHP 5.3) and
knowledge of at least 1 other compiled language, preferably Java preferably
 Database design, SQL and experience of managing database projects.
 Considerable experience of AJAX and JQuery
 Strong experience of developing using TDD/BDD and experience of stubbing and Mocking
interfaces and services; using tools such as PHPUnit, Junit, Selenium Webdriver
