3. What is conveyancing & pleading?
Conveyancing is relates with deed,
document & instrument.
On the contrary, pleading is plaint or
written statement.
These two is simply an Art of legal
writing, which is an inalienable part of
legal profession.
In short it is known as “Legal
Drafting”.

4. Statutory Definition of Conveyance
Section 2(10) of the Stamp Act, 1899
defines the term “Conveyance” to
include “a conveyance on sale and
every instrument by which property,
whether moveable or immoveable, is
transferred inter vivos and which is
not specifically provided for by
Schedule I”.

6. Pleadings
Pleading is a formal document in which
a party to a legal proceeding sets firth
or responds to allegations, claims,
denials, or defenses. Order VI of the
Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 deals
with the pleadings generally. Rule I of
Order VI of the CPC, 1908 states that
pleadings shall mean plaint & Written
Statement.

Generally you will have to apply for the
GD in the Police Station of the area
where the incident or matter of
interest took place.

10. What to include in the Application?
For GD the application has to be addressed TO The Officer
in Charge (OC). The rest of the format is similar to other
applications – the address of the Police Station, Subject (this
should include the reason for the GD), then elaborate
description of the incident or reason for the general diary and
in the end provide name, present address, permanent
address and contact number. You can also collect the GD
Application format from Service Delivery Officer at the Police
Station.
Points to be noted, there are no fees to apply for a GD. If
you cannot write one then the Service Delivery Officer will
assist you in writing it. For this there is no service charge.
After completing the application the Officer in Charge will set
the GD number and date and enlist in the register.

with 4/5 persons by force stopped me and Asif asked me

him. Then Ripon Showed me a pistol be replied be ready to

assaulted me. Dolon assaulted my face on the right side.
Unknown one of them kept my hands off and Asif spurned
me at my belly and took my official bag. In my money bag I
had about 20,000/- (Twenty thousand) Taka. In my official
bag I had my passport, national ID card and some
confidential papers too. Asif & Dolon threaten me not to
inform police or others.
They also threaten me If I would do anything against them my
life will be ended forever and my daughter will be kidnapped
and raped. Then hearing my shouts and cry some people
named Rimon Das, Kabir, Anwar, Aklima and others came
and rescued me and took me to nearest hospital. Now I’m
under treatment. I’m late for few hours to lodge the petition
because of treatment of my body.
I therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to
take all kinds of legal actions against them arrest and
present the above miscreants before the court of law for trial
and punishment.
