Currently I am enrolled in the Medical Office Administration Diploma program at Sheridan, with
an expected graduation date of April 2016. Through this program I have obtained advanced
knowledge in Microsoft Office 2013 suite which includes Excel, Word, Publisher and Power
Point. I have experience working with Power Point creating visually stimulating presentations
with various graphics such as animations, audio, and video, created business reports, letters, and
memos in Word, designed spreadsheets, charts, and graphs using Excel, and have developed
various flyers, newsletters and brochures using Publisher. Other software I can proficiently
operate is York-Med in which to schedule patients and bill OHIP for services, as well as
AbelMed for transcriptions. From my experience at Sheridan I have gained strong skills in
medical spelling, grammar and punctuation, knowledge of Medical terminology along with
verbal and written communication skills along with proper phone etiquette. Through group
projects as well as working individually on assignments during my academic term, I have
demonstrated the ability to work as a team and also individually.
Having several years of experience in customer service and medical office environments, my
knowledge of having to be personable, professional and courteous in various situations will
