global initiatives manager, Michael Erin helps lead
LVGEA in the development of areas that include
Boulder City, Henderson, and Las Vegas.
In October 2014, the LVGEA held its Las Vegas Global
Economic Alliance Annual Dinner at the Aria Resort
and Casino. A celebration of the organization’s
successes in 2014, the dinner highlighted initiatives to
promote the growth of new industries in Southern
Nevada.

3.  Organization achievements for 2014 include
attracting the first global company to the region and
establishing an education council.
The event included a cocktail hour prior to the dinner
itself and a number of options for sponsors who
purchased tickets. All sponsorship offers included a
reservation for a table of 10, acknowledgement in
the Annual Dinner Program Book, and the display of
a customizable company banner. Higher sponsorship
levels included additional tables, prominent
placement of ads and banners, and an invitation to
an exclusive VIP reception taking place before the
dinner.

4.  In addition, one company became the
LVGEA’s Dessert Sponsor, allowing it to choose
the event’s dessert.
Special guests and speakers included the
LVGEA president and CEO and Michael Dixon,
a leader of IBM who directs the company’s
strategies, visions, and operations for multiple
teams internationally. Members of the
symphony orchestra Las Vegas Philharmonic
(LVP) also performed during the event and
donated music that showcased LVP musicians
and classical work.
