Tomato Cam: Designed a system that utilizes a multispectral camera, motorized mechanical arm, a
microprocessor, and algorithms rooted in blob detection to effectively observe a tomato and determine if it
contains a bruise. Placed first for Electrical Engineering Department (Fall 2016) Senior Design Project. Designed the
project’s website (https://sites.google.com/a/temple.edu/tomato/home).
DC Motor Control and Speedometer Implementation - Employed Pulse Width Modulation in a microcontroller to
control a DC motor’s speed and display the RPM of the motor on a LCD with the help of an opto-interrupter circuit.
The duty cycle for the PWM was also measure and changed to see its effect.
Microelectronic Projects – Built and simulated summing and difference operational amplifier circuits, half and full-
wave rectifier circuits, transistor (BJT and MOSFET) circuits—including multistage (cascade, cascade), match
transistors, and current mirror configurations (source, sink). Also, simulated and designed power circuits like buck
and boost converters.
Control Systems – Designed open loop and closed loop systems with MATLAB/Simulink and an Arduino
microcontroller. Systems built included PID controllers, accelerometers for orientation control, and lag
compensators. Techniques employed were Root Locus and Nyquist methods for help with determining pole/zero
location and desirable response characteristics (steady state error, percent overshoot, rise time, etc.
Digital Communication Projects – Designed in simulation, using Simulink, optimal correlation receivers for
transmission of different modulation schemes (ASK, PSK, FSK, QAM, etc.) employed on binary and M-ary signals.
Relevant Experience
Hydrographic Surveys - Navigator Sewell, NJ (2010-Summer 2016)
Maintained computers and computer software. Repaired technical issues. Provided navigational directions in
order to control proper mapping of survey over bodies of water by software.
Gamestop - Guest Advisor Philadelphia, PA (2006-Present)
Gave elaborate explanation on benefits and weighed all pros and cons based off of customers’ needs. Created an
inviting atmosphere for consumers without being pushy yet being helpful. Used knowledge of hardware to assist
customers into making the best decision.
Bunha Faun - Manager Malvern, PA (2002-Present)
Trained employers to make appropriate situational decision. Trained employees in dining area such as server and
hostess, as well as employees in the kitchen area. Provided welcoming customer service to ensure satisfaction and
revisits. Organized appropriate repairs and constructions necessary to maintain a functioning restaurant.
