Krishna asserts His supremacy over all other gods and demigods in the Bhagavad Gita. While others gods may accept offerings and rule over their respective worlds temporarily, they are ultimately subordinate to Krishna as the supreme and original God. Only by taking complete shelter in Krishna through bhakti yoga can one attain eternal liberation from the cycle of birth and death and reach Krishna's transcendental abode, as worship of any other deity can only provide temporary benefits. Arjuna and all great souls fully recognize Krishna as the supreme absolute truth.
