7. Introduction
 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic province.
Majority are Pashtoons.
 The majority of Non-Pushtoons live in Districts of Abbotabad, Chitral,
Haripur, Mansehra, Kohistan and DI Khan.
 The area of above given districts is 37,939 sq Km (49%) and
population is approx. 7 million (24 % of KP)
 Officially around 73% of KP are Pashto Speakers while rest speak
Hindko, Khowar (Chitrali), Kohistani, Seraiki etc.
 Pashto is compulsory subject in 17 out of 25 districts of KP.

 Hazara division has Forests, minerals and is a major tourist attraction
 The largest Earth Filled Dam with installed capacity of 3478 MW.
 KKH and CPEC pass through the Hazara Region
 Kohistan: least developed district-literacy rate 6% for women.
 PML-N Stronghold. PTI emergence in recent LG elections.

 Terichmir peak. The highest in Hindukush 7708 meters.

 Lowest Crime Rate in KP. In 2013, only 32 cases of these Crimes (
Murder, Abduction, Car/Bike Theft)
