4. Upang matukoy kung ang isang isyu ay panlipunan, nararapat lamang na
gamitin ang mga sumusunod na gabay na katanungan:
1. Paano natutukoy kung ang isang usapin ay isyung kontemporaneo?
Ang taong mapagmatyag sa kaniyang komunidad ay kadalasang napapatanong
tungkol sa mga isyung kinakaharap ng lipunan. Nagsisimula siya sa pagkilala
sa isang isyu. Dito ay sinisiyasat din niya ang kaugnayan ng tao sa isyu,
inaalam niya ang pansariling interes sa naturang isyu, at natutukoy niya ang
mga hakbang upang tumugon sa nasabing isyu at sa kaakibat nitong suliranin.
2. Paano nagiging kontemporaneo ang isang isyung panlipunan?
Upang masuri ang anyo ng isang isyung panlipunan, maaaring gamitin ang
mga panuntunang teoryang panlipunan. Ang pagpapaliwanag sa ibaba ay ilang
pamantayan sa pagkilala ng isyung kontemporaneo.
5. 3. Ano-ano ang mga dahilan at epekto ng kontemporaneong
isyu sa lipunan?
Ang pag-iral ng isang isyung panlipunan ay nakabatay sa piling
dahilan at epekto nito sa isang komunidad. Ang bawat isyu ay may
natatanging dahilan at mga epekto sa tao, sa kaniyang kapaligiran,
at higit sa lahat ay sa kabuuan ng lipunan. Ang dahilan ng isang
isyu ay tumutukoy sa mga rason ng pag-usbong at pananatili ng
isang suliraning panlipunan. Samantala, ang epekto ng isang isyu
ay tumutukoy sa lahat na naging bunga ng isang suliranin sa
lipunan. Saan nga ba nakasalalay ang mga dahilan at epekto ng
isang isyung panlipunan?
6. b. Ayon kay Jean-Jacques Rousseau, ang tao ay may likas na
kabaitan (natural goodness). Ang gawain at kilos ng tao ay laging
nakatuon sa ikabubuti ng kaniyang kalagayan. Ngunit ang likas na
kabaitan ng isang tao ay nag-iiba sa tuwing nagkakaroon ng
pagtapak sa kaniyang interes at kabutihan. Makikita natin ito sa
mga pagkakataong nagigipit ang isang tao at nakagagawa ng
krimen. Ang bawat tao, sa kaniyang likas ng kabutihan, ay susunod
sa mga alituntunin at iiwas sa kaniyang kapahamakan. Subalit may
mga pagkakataon na ang kaniyang pangangailangan ay hindi
natutugunan sa maayos na paraan kaya’t kung magipit ay
nakagagawa siya ng maling kilos.
7. 4. Ano-ano ang maaaring gawing solusyon sa mga isyung kinakaharap ng
tao sa kaniyang lipunan?
Marahil ito ang isa sa mahahalagang tanong upang makilala ang
kontemporaneong isyu na dapat mabigyan ng pansin. Ang mga isyung
panlipunan ay kaakibat na ng pamumuhay ng mga tao sa kanilang pamayanan.
Ang bawat isyu ay dapat mabigyan ng pansin sa pamamagitan ng kilos o

Upang lubos na maunawaan ang isang isyu batay sa pananaw ng tao, mainam na bigyan ito ng pagsusuri gamit ang ilang halimbawa na nailista.
