2. Uganda Motorsports Arena (UMA) was set up in October 2010 with the sole aim of providing a state of the art
multi motor sporting activity space that is an incentive to competitor and fraternity growth, safety, and
improved standard (international level) events. We are located 27 km from Kampala off Busiika town just
after Bugema University on the newly tarmacked Zirobwe road.
Mildmay Ugandan (Mug) is a Christian organization operating under the aegis of the Uganda Ministry of
Health since 1998 specializing in treatment, care and management of HIV/AIDS as well as training
different cadres to be able to offer such care in resource limited settings.
Mildmay Uganda’s Elizabeth ward is an acute care and holistic pediatric health rehabilitation no charge
unit which entirely depends on donations, it caters for ages 0-18 years. UMA has organized a 4×4
challenge on the 2nd October 2011 to raise funds to run the ward for at least 6 months, besides the
challenge we will have a health, HIV /AIDS and Reproductive Health NGO exhibition, voluntary testing
and counseling zones by Mug, fun and games for the Mug Kids and well as guest performers like Navio,
The Mith and many more other artiste.
International embassies, missions, consulates and government bodies have been invited and will play an
important role in making the event a success.
Aims of the challenge
- To mentor a smile to many an ailing child who go through the Elizabeth ward through raising funds to
sustain this holistic rehabilitation.
-To sensitize the general public about HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment using sports as a medium,
motorsport is a captivating activity that can be used to draw close attention to populations about the
need for them to join in this fight against AIDS.
- To create a strong relationship of the multiple players in the Fight against AIDS with the corporate
