This document defines and describes several medical terms related to female reproductive health: GYN refers to gynecology or a gynecologist; UC are contractions of the uterine muscles that help dilate the cervix and assist in labor and delivery; PID is pelvic inflammatory disease which causes abdominal pain and fever; AB is abortion which terminates a pregnancy usually in the first 28 weeks; Pap is a Papanicolaou test which examines cervical cells for early signs of cancer.

2. 1.)GYN,gyn
 GYN is short for gynecology or for a gynecologist, a physician who
specializes in treating diseases of the female reproductive organs

3. 2.)UC-Uterine Contractions
 The tightening and shortening of the uterine muscles. During
labor, contractions accomplish two things: (1) they cause the cervix to
thin and dilate (open); and (2) they help the baby to descend into the
birth canal.

4. 3.)PID-pelvic inflammatory disease
 inflammation of the female genital tract, accompanied by fever and lower
abdominal pain.

5. 4.)AB-Abortion
 the termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first
28 weeks of pregnancy.

6. 5.)Pap- Papanicolaou test
 a test carried out on a sample of cells from the cervix to check for
abnormalities that may be indicative of cervical cancer.

