Mittar Khalsa has been a big brother mentor to 13-year-old Trinity for several years through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Trinity struggled with rejection and fights before being matched with Mittar. Mittar's guidance and friendship have helped transform Trinity into a confident student who is no longer shy and has started an anti-bullying group at school. Trinity now views Mittar as a father figure and says having him as a mentor "changed his life." Mittar considers the time he spends with Trinity worthwhile although small, as it has made a big impact in improving Trinity's life and their relationship has enriched them both.
