Experience in Youth andSpecial Populations
 In the summers of 2009 and 2010, I was a camp counselor for Operation Blue, a camp put on by Nellis Air Force Base in Las
Vegas, Nevada. As a counselor, I teamed with another counselor and we were responsible for 7 kids between the ages of 10
and 14 during the weeklong camp. We facilitated learning, outdoors activities (hikes, orienteering, swimming rock climbing,
etc.), and the daily schedule of the camp for the youth we were in charge of.
 In the spring of 2014, I along with two classmates, put on a party in the park with games and activities for people with special
needs at a facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The games included water balloon tosses, musical chairs, basketball, painting, and
relay races.
 As a volunteer at The Homestead, an assisted living home in Rexburg, Idaho, I assisted the elderly residents in activities
ranging from painting their nails, playing games, and doing puzzles to just conversing with them. I did this once a week for 4
months.
 I worked with people with disabilities and was responsible for coming up with and facilitating adapted sports such as human
foosball, basketball, football, volleyball, bowling, and more for Journeys,an organization in Idaho for people with special needs.
 I completed 55 hours assisting with the intramurals program at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I was a volunteer over
volleyball and soccer games. I was responsible for getting the games started, keeping score, watching the clock, and took care of
any issues that arose during the games.
 I did a pre-internship of 400 hours during the summer of 2015 at the North Valley Family YMCA in Los Angeles, California
where I worked with the youth day camp. I was responsible for coordinating and supervising volunteer opportunities for the
participants. More of my responsibilities included- chaperoning field trips, assisting with activities, and finding solutions to
problems regarding volunteering.
 I worked as a recreation leader at Southern Oaks Recreation Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where I supervised elementary
and middle schoolaged kids during a variety of recreational activities.
 I completed 400 senior internship hours during the fall of 2016 with the City of Henderson Therapeutic Recreation and Inclusion
Services. I was hired on as a site lead and was responsible for leading activities such as fitness,shopping,cooking, and crafts.
Education
Brigham Young University-Idaho December 2013-Present
In 2013, I transferred to BYU-Idaho majoring in Recreation Management with a cluster in community recreation. I passed courses
in child development, accessible recreation, therapeutic recreation, experiential education,program management, facilities
management, adaptive physical education and sports,juvenile delinquency, and human resources.
GPA is 3.7
