proficient and adept on social media where I have a proven long reach. I have a history
of becoming an “instant expert” on issues – under tight, daily deadlines – by taking
complex ideas or situations and presenting them in a manner that is easily understood. I
have supervised staff and am a critical thinker who doesn’t need direction to initiate
projects. I’m a problem-solver who engages his audience, using technology to spread

Covered Hamilton County government and the justice system. A leader in stories
produced. My work generated more than 1 million web hits annually. A leader in utilizing
social media to spread my work. Shot edited videos and photos.
 Broke all major stories that led to the trial and conviction of a judge;
 Broke the story of the bailiff ultimately convicted of trying to sell better sentences
from the judge who employed him;
 Forced a judge to release sealed transcripts of a hearing where attorneys for
both sides in a $300 million estate fight tried to keep the case from the public;

4.  Without a lawyer, won a judge’s decision when a couple whose daughter tried to
“divorce” them in court (it became a national story) sought to keep the hearing
closed to the public;
 Exposed a gap in Kentucky law after a paying civilian was killed while driving a
race car on a speedway track.

 Broke stories that resulted in the change of Ohio law after I caught a judge
secretly “retiring” so he could he could double-dip;

Eddie Frye to commit suicide, Hamilton County’s youngest suicide victim;
 Broke the story of a photographer getting access to the morgue where he placed
miniature furniture on bodies and took pictures of them;
 Saved an Assistant Cincinnati Police Chief from jail by reporting he was indicted
by a grand jury with a foreman who was an assistant city prosecutor;
 Exposed a judge “working” while in Mexico, causing him to cut his trip short and
return to his office. (The last two stories ran on the same day and helped me win
first place in a state-wide contest.)
