How do I gain access to my courses?
After attending this Orientation session, you will
gain access to you courses within 24 hours.
Ways you can lose access to your courses:
1. Failure to return Contract within 7 days.
2. Attempting to complete the course at a non-
agreed upon pace.
3. Lack of payment.
Student Contract
• Must be completed and returned within 7 days.
• Parent and students should complete together.
• Use the Dynamic Course Schedule to help determine
start and end dates for each course.
• Courses must take a minimum of 8 weeks (for full
credit) or 4 weeks (for half credit) or you will not get
credit for them.
• You will be held accountable for these dates unless you
call the Learning Coach to revise the contract.
Here is what the contract looks like.

voicemail and emails
within 24 hours.
Teacher will grade all
submitted work within 72
hours and will provide
instructional feedback on
assignments.
What happens when I don’t do well?
Student earns a
grade below 60% on
any assignment
during the week.
If over all grade average
is below 65%, student
will be required to
attend a remediation
session with the teacher.
Teacher will contact the
student by email early
the following week.
Student will ask
questions and continue
in the course.
Student will be required
to attend a follow up
remediation session 2
weeks later.
Password Protection on Assessments
As a way to keep students on pace, we will be
password protecting various assignments
throughout the course.
To access those assignments you will need to:
1. Contact your teacher by phone or by email.
2. Have a conversation with your teacher about the
content covered on the exam.
3. The teacher will then provide you with the password.
Student and Learning Coach
will meet together for
Orientation session.
Learning Coach will be
student’s direct contact
for questions regarding
pacing and their contract.
Learning Coach will
contact students monthly
through out their time
with Keystone and more
frequently if needed.
Learning Coach will
communicate with
teacher to provide
overall support if
needed.
Learning Coach is available
for help with time
management and
motivation.
Student and Family Responsibilities
• Complete and return contract within 7 days.
• Check email daily to check for messages from your
teacher or Learning Coach.
• Participate in mandatory monthly teacher check ins
and remediation sessions if needed.
• Keep a calendar of important dates (such as teacher
contacts).
• Contact the Learning Coach if anything in your
schedule changes.
• View progress reports and Parent Observer Account
information regularly (parents).
Additional Keystone Support Services
• Guidance Services course
– Located with your other courses in the online
classroom.
• Guidance Counselor
– Questions about course selection, college
planning, etc.
• Student Services Representatives
– General questions, questions about
transcripts, grades, course access
