1. To whom it may concern,
For the past four winters, Kelsey Sarver has been working for me as a ski instructor at Wild
Mountain Ski Area in Taylors Falls. In this period of time, I have had many opportunities to
observe Kelsey in a teaching environment, as she shared her love for snowsports with our
customers. Her positive attitude and genuine love for teaching had an effect on all of the
students she worked with, particularly the kids in her weekly Saturday classes. They loved
skiing with Kelsey, and she kept them engaged through the end of their session. Kelsey was
also able to connect with her student’s parents as well. She was able to earn their trust as
her clear understanding for the technical details of skiing along with child behavior and
psychology, helped them become comfortable with her as their child’s teacher
When she started working at Wild Mountain, Kelsey was one of the youngest instructors we
had on our staff. But unlike most of her fellow teenage coworkers she possessed many
mature qualities that set her apart from her peers. She always arrived early, often stayed
late, and never appeared short on energy or motivation. She truly enjoyed being here, and
getting opportunities to teach. Her enthusiasm was contagious when the instructors would
gather in the morning to talk over the lesson schedule, and her excitement never seemed to
go away throughout the day.
Please consider my recommendation, as you look at Kelsey’s potential employment with
your program. I believe she possesses the qualities necessary to succeed and grow in your
organization, and will be a valuable addition to your team.
Sincerely,
Mark Dunsworth
