• We have 15+ birders, we need to encourage them

point but it is highly possible & recommended one)

• This means really huge data base that we are going to

• 19 heronries = 633 nests
• 43 trees of 8 species
• Padanakkad (96 nests) and Uliyathadukka (58
nests) were the major heronry sites
• may be due to adverse weather conditions
• Flood and associated drought previous year
followed by lack of summer rains and monsoon
might have declined the number of breeding
birds
