Travelling grate chains are used in boiler houses of
sugar plants, paper plants, fertilizer plants etc. to convey
fly ash.
Carefully selected raw materials are used for the chain
which can withstand the temperature upto 400˚C during

10 SPROCKETS
Sprockets are the main driving gears used to drive the chains in any direction, speed etc.
We design/recommend sprockets all to specifications of the chain. The material of the sprockets is
carefully selected as per the area of application. Generally we use cast steel grade 1030 & 2708 as
per ISI STANDARS.
Precise machining of teeth is done and teeth are case hardened to give longer life.
We manufacture sprockets having pitch from 76.2mm - 300mm and having 8 to 24 Teeth.

20. Heat Treatment
The heat treatment plant is a state of the art plant having 2Nos. of Electrically Heated Sealed Retort Pit
Type Gas Carburizing Furnace having 1 Ton charge capacity each.
The case hardening of the components is done upto 1.5 mm of case depth depending upon the area of
application & the sizes of the components.
Polymer quenching is done
afterwards and then stress
relieving is done in 2 nos.
